Stress relief

on August 24, 2013

What do you do to ease the tensions of every day life? I find the only thing that truly excites me and sets me free is kite-surfing. I have been doing it for about 8 years now and I’m just beginning to get quite good- but that could be open to debate amongst my contemporaries! I did once land on somebody’s kite admittedly, but he was a visitor from further down the coast so it didn’t really count! 🙂 I love nothing better than braving the elements on a howling, rainy day and flying through the air on the end of my kite, when most people are wrapped up against the elements. There is a lot of showing-off involved, especially seeing as though there is a café on the beach where we all seem to aim towards.
You can actually hear people whooping as you turn a trick and hear them laugh when you mess up! I have been learning a trick now for over two years now and have finally got it sussed (back-loop, kite-loop. Look it up!). I’m starting to get a reputation as a ‘one-trick pony’ now so it’s time to man-up and learn something new as I’ve got into my comfort-zone. That is the trap we can all fall into isn’t it? But the thrill of learning or doing something new can be very liberating. So what do you do to let off steam? Do let me know 🙂

Thanks a lot for your interest in my post, I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
